I got to meet one of my cartooning heroes this weekend at Ohio State University's Festival of Cartoon Art. I have always admired Matt Groening (creator of "The Simpsons") since my "My Name is Bart Simpson, Who the Hell Are You?" and "Bart Simpson, Underachiever" t-shirts were banned from my high school.
Matt was awesome enough to do a sketch in my sketchbook. Awesome, underachieving guy.
You rock, Matt!

Very very cool. I saw him at the San Diego ComiCon back in the early 1990's but the line to greet him was far too long to get involved in, I would have loved to shake his hand.
Happy note, by by-passing Groening's autograph line, I by chance bumped into Will Eisner who was just leaving his own booth by the back way. He was very gracious and gave me a few moments of his time.
